	| Mine: | No one does the self -rightous honest guy better that Ford. This a fun ride. A bit too long. |

	| Leonard Maltin/Plot synopsis: | CIA whiz Jack Ryan (Ford) finds himself waist-deep in highest-level Washington politics when his ailing mentor (Jones) names him as his replacement. Soon he's caught in the middle of double-dealing with a Colombian druglord. The always watchable Ford plays more a symbol than a character here, and the action climax seems somehow pat. Still, it's an intelligent and entertaining sequel to PATRIOT GAMES. Panavision. |
