Better than the first, but still not a really successful film. All the best moments are Kenneth Branaghs, he is very funny. The plot is just not interesting and the characters not very well developed.
Leonard Maltin/Plot synopsis:
Harry ignores warnings not to return to Hogwarts, only to find the school plagued by a series of mysterious attacks and a strange voice haunting him.
Finally! I have finally seen a movie in the theater at approximately the same time that you did! A miraculous first! Couldn't disagree with you more - went to see H. Potter with Pat, Kyle (5yrs) and Mike (9yrs). We all loved it. Mike and I have read the book, which I'm sure created pre-developed characterizations for us. Pat and Kyle loved the characters as well, without having read the books. Agree with your comments on Branagh - he's superb. I thought the special effects were wonderful, with a good blend of laughs and scary parts.
PS and don't dare tell me that I have go get our more.
