The perfect campy movie. Tones of fun. Great music. Wonderfully strange. Johnny Depp show once again why he is such a great actor, it would appear that he can do almost any kind of role.

| Leonard Maltin/Plot synopsis: |
Baltimore, 1954, and good-girl Locane is torn between her pristine roots and kids in black leather--especially the Elvis type (Depp) who'd love her to mount his cycle. More polished than Waters' previous HAIRSPRAY, but not as well focused, though performed with gusto. Uneven and exhausting; a few set pieces really deliver.
