Reviews
Mine: How good could this movie have been with and actress in the lead role instead of Andie McTanlentless? Still quite good. Grant is great and much of the supporting cast is top notch as well. Maybe a better title would be "Four Wedding and a Funeral and a really sappy ending" It just does not go with the rest of the movie.
Leonard Maltin/Plot synopsis: Delightful contemporary comedy about a young man who can't sustain a relationship, while all his friends seem to be getting married. Then he hits it off with another wedding guest, and the plot thickens. Fine ensemble, headed by the engaging Grant, keep this buoyant under Newell's sure-handed direction. Richard Curtis' screenplay may not bear close scrutiny (that final conversation really seems out of place), but it's certainly fun.
