Fun thriller. I kind of like the lone man against the system movies like this one. Daniel Stern does a really good job in supporting role. I could have done with out the Vietnam flashback bits.

Slick action film built around L. A. 's police helicopter surveillance team. Fun at first, but gets stupider (and crueler) as film goes on--with villainous McDowell character especially ludicrous. Even escapist fare has to be believable on its own terms. Later a TV series. Panavision.
