Silent film Western heroes are summoned to Mexico for what they think will be a public appearance, find out they're really supposed to rid a village of its bandit chieftain. Smarmy one-joke comedy has its moments but not too many; buffs may be amused to note that villain Arau was one of the key bad guys in THE WILD BUNCH. Coscripter Randy Newman wrote the songs
